In the 80s, this particular bottling was launched by Nikka. Nikka wanted to commemorate the English writer Edward Bulwer-Lytton, who used these words in his play Richelieu, with the words "The Pen is mightier than the Sword" printed on the front of the bottle. Since this bottling appeared only in very limited edition this is very rare.
Due to the age, the bottle and box shows signs of wear.
