Hombo Mars Whisky
In 1953the first Hombo Mars distillery was founded in Kagoshima (it already closed). In 1985, a second distillery in Miyata was established. In 2011 the distillery in Miyata was remodeled and expanded. Since 2013 Homo Mars produces whisky in a larger scale. For producing their whisky, they only use water from their company well and paint from Scotland.
Technical overview of Hombo Mars:
Mashing do: 1x 5,000 liters made of stainless steel
Fermentation vat: 5x 5,700 liters each made of cast iron
Stills: 1x "Wash Still" with 1x 5.800 liter and 1x "Spirit Still" with 5.600 liter capacity, which are heated with steam.
Yearly capacity: 95,000 liters of alcohol
