Through years of aging in wooden barrels, Suntory Yamazaki whisky becomes an unmistakable taste experience. The three different oak barrels come from America, Spain and Japan and give the whisky the special award. The single malt whisky already convinces with its aroma. The fine wood note is accompanied by the pleasant scent of vanilla. Dried fruits from apple, oranges and dates add to the taste. The interesting honey aroma ensures the slight sweetness. Whether in a cozy round in the familiar circle or after a business lunch: The Suntory Yamazaki Whisky surprises with a very delicate and refined taste.
Whisky pure, on ice or as a cocktail
Country of origin of the culinary highlights is Japan. At the foot of the mountain Tennozan in the valley of the Yamazaki on the beautiful island Honshu lies the birthplace of the whisky. In 1923, the whisky was first produced in this idyll. In an attractive 0.7 liter bottle with screw cap, the single malt is also suitable as a personal gift to lovers. The Suntory Yamazaki whisky is a tasty alternative to the commercial Scottish or American variety. Enjoy the whisky, on ice, in the whisky sour or a Manhattan - the classic whisky cocktails. A convincing bottling of high quality awaits you.
Quality in the glass
The particularly soft, dry character with the oriental touch gives the Suntory Yamazaki whisky its mouthfeel. The alcohol content is 43%. Served at room temperature, the whisky unfolds its full aroma. The high quality is undisputed. The Malt Whisky, made exclusively from malted barley in a distillery, is in great demand among connoisseurs. Matured in oak barrels for twelve years, the Japanese brand has a well-rounded draft. That's the opinion of experts. Try it yourself!
Summary
The Yamazaki Distillery was founded in 1923 by Shinjiro Torii between the Osaka and Kyoto sites in the Yamazaki Valley. The manager of the distillery was Masataka Taketsuru who had left Yamazaki in 1934 and founded his own distillery NIKKA.
In 1950, the Suntory Old was introduced to the market, which is still the most popular whisky in Japan.
In 1984, the first single malt of Yamazaki comes on the market.
