Yamazaki
The bouquet, taste and finish of a Suntory Yamazaki whisky matured in wooden barrels provide special culinary delights. The aroma of vanilla, honey and dried fruit is already promising. The mild taste of this variety of aromas has a soft, dry character with an oriental touch. With the 43% Suntory Yamazaki whiskey from its country of origin Japan, you can spoil family, friends and guests alike. The label with Japanese characters on a bottle in stylish packaging is an exquisite gift for various occasions. Give a sip of single malt whisky for connoisseurs!
aroma and maturity
The long maturation in wooden barrels gives Suntory Yamazaki whisky a distinctive taste experience. The three different oak barrels come from America, Spain and Japan and give the whisky its special distinction. The single malt whisky is already impressive with its aroma. The fine wood note is accompanied by the pleasant scent of vanilla. Dried fruit such as apples, oranges and dates enhance the taste even more. The interesting honey aroma provides the slight sweetness. Whether in a cozy gathering with friends or after a business lunch: Suntory Yamazaki whiskey surprises with its very delicate and refined taste.
Whisky neat, on ice or as a cocktail
The country of origin of this culinary highlight is Japan. The birthplace of whisky lies at the foot of Mount Tennozan in the Yamazaki Valley on the beautiful island of Honshu. The whisky was first produced in this idyllic setting in 1923. In an attractive 0.7 liter bottle with a screw cap, the single malt is also suitable as a personal gift for lovers. The Suntory Yamazaki whisky is a tasty alternative to the standard Scottish or American variety. Enjoy the whisky neat, on ice, in a whiskey sour or a Manhattan - the classic whisky cocktails. A convincing bottling of high quality awaits you.
quality in glass
The particularly soft, dry character with the oriental note gives the Suntory Yamazaki whisky its fullness in the mouth. The alcohol content is 43%. Served at room temperature, the whiskey develops its full aroma. The high quality is undisputed. The malt whisky, made exclusively from malted barley in a distillery, is particularly popular among connoisseurs. Matured for twelve years in wooden barrels, the Japanese brandy has a well-rounded depth. That is the opinion of experts. Try it yourself!
Summary
The Yamazaki distillery was founded in 1923 by Shinjiro Torii between the cities of Osaka and Kyoto in the Yamazaki Valley. The manager of the distillery was Masataka Taketsuru, who had left Yamazaki in 1934 and founded his own distillery, NIKKA.
In 1950, Suntory Old was introduced to the market and remains the most popular whisky in Japan to this day.
In 1984, Yamazaki’s first single malt was launched.
In 1987 the distillery was completely renovated and reopened in 1989. More Yamazaki single malts followed in the next few years, such as the Yamazaki Single Malt 18 Years, 50 Years and 10 Years.
Yamazaki produces single malts but also blends of the Hibiki brand with malt purchased worldwide and water from the company's own well.
