This pure malt whisky was the first single malt whisky from Japan which was launched in 1984. He just does not have the name Single Malt Whisky, since this was only introduced in the late 80s in Japan. Only selected malt whiskys from the Yoichi distillery were used for these whiskys. These give him a slightly salty, peaty and smoky character. Already from 8 years this bottling was stopped by Nikka.
Due to the age of the bottle, the level is no longer optimal.
