In the 1990s, these bottles were very popular among Japanese businessmen. You could buy a ready-made Mizuwari (the whisky is topped up with two parts water and then drunk with ice): It used a 12-year-old Suntory Special Reserve Blend, reduced to 12% ABV. These bottles are rarely found today, especially the version using 12-year-old whisky.
