In the early 2000s, Suntory launched this lighter version, Suntory Old. As the name suggests, this bottling was only sold in the summer, and only in two batches. Because it was bottled at only 40% ABV, it is lighter and fresher than the standard 43% bottling. Today, these bottles are extremely rare, as only a very small number were produced.
