In 2017, Yamazakura's new distillery released 10 different new pots (the distillate has not yet been aged for three years and is not yet eligible to be called whisky) single casks. This bottling is cask 6226. Only 253 bottles were produced at cask strength 63.3%. The distillate was aged in a first-fill American bourbon barrel from October 6, 2016, to June 27, 2017. It took less than a day for all bottlings to sell out.
