In 2017, Yamazakura's new distillery released 10 different new pots (the distillate has not yet been aged for three years and is not yet eligible to be called whisky) single casks. This bottling is cask 17101. Only 272 bottles were produced at 61.2% cask strength. The distillate was aged in a first-fill American bourbon barrel from March 16, 2017, to June 27, 2017.
It didn't take a day until all the bottlings were sold out.
