Normally, whisky producers in Japan don't exchange casks with each other. In 2017, Sabumaru/Wakatsuru exchanged casks with the Nagahama distillery. This blended malt whisky was then launched on the Japanese market in early 2025. As the name suggests, lightly peated whiskies were used for this blended malt.
