This whisky is very complex and with its unusual maltiness and earthiness for a Japanese whisky, it is an absolute highlight of Japanese whisky distilling. The Yoichi Single Malt Whisky is one of the six great malt whiskies in the world according to the world-famous whisky critic Jim Murray.
Aroma: Notes of teak oil, smoke, leather, cedar and leaf compost, as well as various spices.Taste: Lots of body on the palate, with a subtle acidity that balances the smoke and oak flavors.
Aftertaste: Very long finish with a pleasant fresh smoky note with influences of chocolate and oak.
