Nikka Hokkaido 12 Years

This pure malt whisky was the first single malt whisky from Japan, launched in 1984. It's just not called a single malt whisky, as this was only introduced in Japan in the late 1980s. Only the finest malt whiskies from the Yoichi distillery were used for this whisky. These give it a slightly salty, peaty, and smoky character. Nikka discontinued this bottling eight years ago.
