In the 1980s, Kirn introduced this premium blend to the Japanese market. There were two versions of this whisky: Saturday No. 1 and Saturday No. 2. This is the Saturday No. 1, intended for Friday nights, perfect for celebrating with friends. The Saturday No. 2, with a milder profile and higher grain whisky content, is designed for Saturday evenings to help ease the hangover from the night before.
Additionally, these bottles were marketed as "High Performance Whiskies."
