In the 1980s, Kirn introduced this premium blend to the Japanese market. There were two versions: Saturday No. 1 and Saturday No. 2. Saturday No. 1 is intended for Friday nights, when you celebrate with friends. Saturday No. 2 is for Saturday nights, as it's considerably milder and has a higher grain whisky content to help combat the hangover from the previous day.
