The "Hibiki 17 Years" is a blend of numerous types of pure single malt whiskies from the Yamazaki and Haskushu distilleries.
They are of different ages and come from a variety of barrels. Finally, they are blended together and then matured in the barrel for a further six months. Part of this blend is stored in barrels made from the extremely rare Japanese Mizunara oak.
The "Old Kacho Fugetsu" edition is presented in a noble glass bottle, which is dedicated to the theme "Kacho Fugetsu". This design was created in collaboration with various Japanese artists and is intended to embody the beauty of Japanese nature.
This special edition is strictly limited to 600 bottles worldwide and is only available in Japan.
Taste: Very round, soft and balanced with raisins, vanilla and lots of oak
Aftertaste: Very balanced and long, with notes of cocoa, sherry and oak
