In 2020, the Helios distillery on Okinawa launched its first single malt whisky on the Japanese market. Previously, whiskies from the Japanese distilleries of the Asahi Group were used. A total of 1,423 bottles were bottled at 60.9% cask strength. The bottles were sold out in Japan within hours.
