This premium plum wine is produced by the traditional Odawara-based company Chinriu Honten, which has been in existence for 250 years. It is characterized by its delicate ume plum flavor and a lower sweetness than regular umeshu. Brown sugar has also been added to this umeshu, creating a slightly bitter aftertaste. It is slightly lighter than the blue version due to its lower alcohol content. Like all Nagareume umeshu, this one is bottled with sake rather than industrial alcohol.
