This Japanese blended whisky is produced by the Akkeshi distillery in Hokkaido. The name "穀雨" (Kokuu) means "grain rain" and refers to one of the 24 traditional Chinese solar terms, indicating the importance of rain for grain. This whisky is characterized by a harmonious blend of various grain and malt whiskies, giving it a balanced flavor and pleasant aroma.
