This special single cask bottling was bottled exclusively for the Japanese spirits retailer ESPOA in 2018. The whisky was aged for three years in American white oak casks before being aged for one year in a Kijoshu cask from sake brewer Hanahato. Hanato was the first Japanese premium sake producer to succeed in producing a sweeter, top-quality sake in the 1970s. A total of only 388 bottles were produced at 61% ABV, and they are now sold out everywhere.
