The fifth edition of "The Essence of Suntory Whisky" series, was only officially distributed at bars and was never for sale in stores in Japan. There were 2 different bottlings. For these, the Golden Promise barley variety was used. The whisky matured in bourbon casks for 12 years from 2009 to 2021 before being bottled at cask strength.
