Among connoisseurs, this exceptionally rare premium blend is regarded as the ultimate Japanese blend from the 1980s. Kaizo Saji, Suntory’s president until the 1990s, personally selected the malt and grain whiskies for this blend. This distinctive bulbous bottle is one of the earliest bottlings from the early 1980s and is extremely rare. Even the Japanese government was so impressed by this whisky that it was served at state banquets in the 1980s and early 1990s.
