At the end of the 80s, Nikka experimented with rye whiskys in addition to malt and grain whiskys. This resulted in a whisky with malt and rye content. A dash of rum was also added to this bottling to create a sweet taste. But only after 1 year the production was stopped again, because of the lack of success. The 750ml bottles of this whisky are very rare and very difficult to find.
