Tradition and modernity in harmony

If you have previously believed that Japanese whisky such as Sasanokawa whisky only came onto the market a few years ago, you are mistaken. As early as the end of the 19th century, the Japanese, who had previously concentrated and specialized exclusively in the production of sake and shochu, were experimenting with the typical whisky ingredients, albeit with little success at first. Until Shinjiro Torii finally opened the first distillery in Yamazaki in 1923. He hired Mastaka Taketsuru, who had extensive knowledge of chemistry and whisky production, to build it. However, the collaboration between the two men ended after a few years due to numerous differences. Taketsuru eventually founded his own company, Nippon Kaju KK, which produced some particularly popular and high-quality whisky varieties to this day, such as the Yoichi 20 years old or the Hibiki Blend 30 years old. But Shinjiro Torii's distillery also remained on the road to success. Sasanokawa Whiskey is the ideal whiskey, especially for beginners, and impresses whiskey fans all over the world with its incomparably mild and gentle taste.

Sasanokawa Whisky - unique taste with that certain something

It doesn't matter whether you are already a true whisky connoisseur with a spoiled palate or a newbie - you will never get enough of the mild and fruity taste that Sasanokawa whisky offers. Many consider it to be the ideal whisky for beginners and an all-rounder for every occasion. The distillery is the only one in Japan that still has enough old cherry barrels for production. And this stock is a treasure that increases the value of this whisky. The original Sasanokawa whisky tastes warm of honey and chocolate and impresses with a short and fruity finish. The Cherry Whisky Ex and the Yamazakura Black Lable are also mild whisky variants that are guaranteed to taste good even to experienced connoisseurs. Try the Sasanokawa whiskey and enjoy the extraordinary taste of this speciality from Japan.
